Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for services booked directly with Nemur Net ehf, including the Educational Tour of Iceland and any bespoke programmes contracted directly with us.

Cancellations by the Customer

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, please email us at [email protected] as soon as possible. The amount refunded depends on how far in advance the cancellation is received:

  • More than 30 days before the tour date — full refund (100%).
  • 15 to 30 days before the tour date — 50% refund.
  • Less than 14 days before the tour date — no refund.

The cancellation is effective on the date we receive your email. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Cancellations by Nemur Net ehf

Nemur Net ehf reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Educational Tour in cases such as:

  • insufficient enrolment to run the tour,
  • adverse weather conditions or other safety concerns,
  • illness of the guide or other circumstances making delivery impractical,
  • force majeure events outside our control.

If we cancel, you will be offered either an alternative date at no extra cost or a full refund of the amount you paid to Nemur Net ehf. We are not responsible for any other costs you may have incurred (such as flights, accommodation, or visa fees), so we strongly recommend that you arrange appropriate travel insurance.

Changes to a Booking

If you wish to change the date of a booking, please contact us as early as possible. We will do our best to accommodate changes, but they are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Date changes requested less than 14 days before the tour date are treated as a cancellation under the terms above.

No-Shows

If a participant does not arrive on the agreed date and has not contacted us in advance, the booking is treated as cancelled with no refund.

How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are processed within 14 working days of the cancellation being confirmed. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the booking. Any bank or payment-processor fees that cannot be reversed will be deducted from the refunded amount.

Bookings Made Through Third Parties

If you booked a course or programme through a third-party provider and Nemur Net ehf is providing only part of the service (for example, a tour as part of a larger course), the cancellation terms of that third-party provider apply to the course fee. This policy applies only to amounts paid directly to Nemur Net ehf.
